May you always know the peace of God, that passes understanding and wisdom. May you be guided by his hand, and possess his heart and nature as you grow into the wonderful person He intended you to be! May you always know His Love, His Mercy, His faithfulness, His abundance, & His Grace...in all the things you do, and places that you go! Be Blessed...abundantly, miraculously blessed!!

That is so noble of you to write a confirmation blessing, when you are of a different faith. But, to answer your question: The purpose of a blessing is to speak positive affirmations over a child's life, to ask God to protect and watch over them, and for them to live the life that God has for him. Your general, you blessing should just ask God to
1) protect the child as he proceeds through life
2) to bless him with a good life
3) Give his parents wisdom, patience and the love needed to raise the child
4) that God remains first in his life for as long as he lives.
Just pray about it (in your own way) and you will find the words to honor the child and to respect your own religious beliefs, as well.
