Don't let him do that!!

What are you doing that makes him bite you? Are you teasing or being mean to him?

It sounds like he doesn't trust you or something. Did you just get him?

Need more information.

You can't let him get away with that just because he's a little dog, too many owners think it's "cute" but you wouldn't think that way if it was a big dog. Your Yorkie doesn't know it's a small dog so it needs to be disciplined just as if it were a Great Dane! Biting is a sign of agression which means the dog is trying to be the "pack leader" instead of respecting you as it's leader. Whenever it tries to bite you firmly say "NO!" and take two fingers (index and middle finger) and quickly give it a light jab at the side of it's neck. NOT a mean or painful thing but a quick jab. It's what a pack leader dog does when a follower gets out of line, he will give a nip at the neck and the dog falls in line immediately. (so your fingers are like the teeth on the leader dogs mouth and you are "biting" it) Also it "snaps" them out of the behavior they are doing at the time. Do not cuddle or talk baby talk to your dog when it's doing bad stuff, that just reinforces the bad behavior. Gently force your dog to lay on it's side or on it's back with its stomach towards you, that's a sign of submission meaning that he recognizes YOU as the leader, not him. You have to start being more assertive towards him and let him know what kind of behavior you expect from him. Praise him like crazy when he's good, but be consistant with the discipline when he's not. Yorkies are bossy but very, very smart and eager to please, he'll catch on quickly. Also check out the Dog Whisperer on tv or online, Caesar Millan is fantastic. He is where I learned these techniques and they truly do work.

Yorkie's are very sensitive dogs.
You can't yell at them, or they become frighten and in turn aggressive.
Only because they feel they need to protect themselves. Even if your not yelling at the dog, but your character is of an aggressive one, the dog with learn that from you.

If your dog tries to bite you again, pick him up gently, look into his eyes, (this is a control thing for you when you do that) and gently tell him no, no, no. Then hold the stare for a bit and put him down. Do this everytime he attempts to bite you or does bite you.

I have a yorkie myself and have some questions that needed to be answered.
http://www.yorkietalk.com has a forum of alot of people who own yorkies. They all do there best to share information and try to answer questions.

Buy a soft muzzle that fits him. Every time he bites you, put the muzzle on him for awhile. Are you sure he's biting, or is he teething?

You've got to make it clear to him that his biting behavior is unacceptable every time he does it.

Good luck!
