Mountains, the Plains, the Desert, or the Water are all matter but by chanting the names of God matter can be spiritualized and one can be spiritiually connected.

it is like a iron bar acting like fire when in constant contact with red hot fire, turning from hot, hotter, hottest and finally almost fire.

Matter is matter. Spirit is spirit. But matter can be spiritualised by constant contact with spirit by chanting the names of God. Mind which on the material platform will become spiritualised being delivered from the material platfom by chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

The Sanskrit word mantra is a combination of two syllables, man and tra. Man means "mind," and tra means "deliverance." Therefore a mantra is that which delivers you from mental concoction, from hovering on the mental plane.
So if you chant this mantra—

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

—very soon you'll find that you are coming from the darkness to the light.
