I do not think that hitting up the YA folks for a serious answer to this question is the way to go. So I advise:
1) Go to a Catholic priest of your choosing and ask him the same question. Be sure to include all of your thoughts on this subject. If you are not satisfied with one priest, try another. But be prepared to do some studying - relying on street talk to discern your religious beliefs is not at all to your benefit. And the Catholic Church has areas of complication that require your solid attention - it's not a personality contest. Study. Receive some instruction.
2) Time is NOT running out if the reason you are considering a religion change is your Muslim friends' criticisms.
I pray that you will reach a sound decision.

Nobody can really answer this question for you, I'm afraid. You have to think about what it is you want religion to do for you. Deciding to change religions is a big decision, so take all the time you need. Take the time to talk to leaders in your parish and some leaders of Muslim faith so you are at least informed. If you are struggling with something spiritual, talk to a spiritual leader, someone you trust, and I'm pretty sure they will be able to answer a lot of questions you have. Best wishes!

Have you researched the religion? If I were you, I would thoroughly research the religion and see everything that it teaches. Do the same thing with Catholicism. A whole ton of religions out there claim to be the only true religion. Look into others and see which seems to be the most factual, historical and truthful. I believe that a person shouldn't join a religion just based on feeling. There could be negative things involved with a religion that the person was not aware of when he or she joined.

Please stay with Christianity. If you didn't like the very liturgical version (Catholicism) try another branch like non-denominational or baptist but Islam is even more legalistic and I would look around on faithfreedom.org for a couple hours before considering it. It is a site where ex-muslims tell you what the faith is really about. Christ is the only way to salvation you will find no assurance or peace in Islam.

It sounds like you're doubting your possible conversion.
Do you believe in the God of the Bible? If so, read the Bible. Start in the New Testament, the Gospel accounts, and read it until Revelation. Pray that God will help you understand His word and obey His will. Read and study carefully.
Decide what you want to convert to: God or your friends.
I will pray for you and your decision.

you have to believe what makes sense to you
not because you are told to ( as im sure your Catholic friends would tell you the same )
but this doesnt make sense to me
as Muslims believe that Allah is the same God as the Christian God

Quran. Muslim Holy Book. We Only worship God.
[2:136] Say, "We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and all the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To God alone we are submitters."
I suggest you to read the Quran, the majority of people who convert do so after reading the Quran.
Here is an online link: http://www.masjidtucson.org/quran/frames/index.html
First Chapter of the Quran "The Key."
[1:1] In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.*
[1:2] Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe.
[1:3] Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
[1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment.
[1:5] You alone we worship; You alone we ask for help.
[1:6] Guide us in the right path;
[1:7] the path of those whom You blessed; not of those who have deserved wrath, nor of the strayers
Research Islam for yourself, do not let anyone convince you, gain knowledge.
