why are some older brothers so mean to their younger sisters. I was talking to my gf on the phone the other day and he was yelling at her and she got off the phone balling crying. it hurts me to think about her crying that bad, just because of her brother, who is supposed to care about her. any serious answers would be appreciated

Mine was a year younger growing up but they all make you bawl at times. Just wait, the older they get, the closer they get. Me and my brother are best friends now. It's just something you go through growing up. You live with that person constantly and they get on your nerves sometimes. (Not to mention, us women tend to be more emotional and when we are younger, it's even worse).

Someetimes thats how brothers are . But let someone harm there sister in any way , shape , or form . most would be there fofr them .
Its just part of there growing up years . Most brothrs and sisters care for each other .
You'll appreciate them when you are both older , if not before .

I don't know man cause I have 2 older bros who get on the phone all the time...but I usually don't take things to heart...it could be your friend is sensative? Maybe? I don't know, because my bros not only yell at me they yell at my friends...but they just blow it off, and say that my bros are dumb...So Its kinda hard to say...I think they do it just to prove that they can be all big and mighty because thats how my bros are when I have freinds over, they start getting all stupid on me or act different...kinda fugged up...

That is terrible. He is a bully. Her parents are not doing a very good job of protecting her from him. You can help by being caring and understanding. Hopefully, he will be out of the house and living on his own soon.

when they're older, they'll get along SO much better.
When you're young anyone younger than you (specially sister) is such an annoyance.
My brothers used to torture me, but now we're great friends!

I think that's what they call sibling rivalry. it's everywhere(well almost). It happened between me and my elder brother, but as we grew up, those things began to go off, we now became best of friends.
So, I think that of your friend, will also end, they will grow over it.
