Hawaii has always been my dream vacation since I was a child. I am 41 now. It is a beautiful place. My dad was in Pearl Harbor when he was seventeen; he is now in Heaven with my mom. I would like to visit the island(s) someday.

Yes, I have and it is paradise.
Spend 2 days in Oahu (Honolulu)......must visit the Polynesian Tour (a one day deal). Visit 'Diamond Head" and Pearl Harbor (USS Arizona is worth seeing).
You can either take a cruise or fly to the other Islands. I highly recommend Maui and "Big Island'. There are beautiful and scenic drive to Macadamia Nut farm or Coffee plantations also did the helicopter tour of volcano in Big Island.

Many years ago I spent a week in Honolulu with some friends. We had a great time. I would have liked to have visited Maui which I hear is absolutely beautiful.

My son and his fiance are flying to Honolulu in Oct and cruising all the Hawaiin islands for their honeymoon. They are very excited as I am very them also.

The flight from NJ is 10 hrs straight so that's a huge issue..

I have lived here on the Big Island for 6 yrs, there is no more crime here than what there is on Oahu, that is bull. All of the Islands have there uniquness. Oahu, is most touristy and traffic is a killer, but the have beautiful beahces. Kauai, is nice and quiet with amazing views and beaches. Maui is fun too. Big Island has a flavor for all.

I went to Maui and got married on the beach.
Lovely place. I did a helicoptor tour of the volcano, horseback riding, snorkling....

We went to the beach and did shopping, too. We stayed in Makena which is on the SW side of the island. Hana is on the south side and is very georgeous, but not as populated because it's hard to get to.

Yes. I live here since my husband is stationed at Schofield. It's expensive to live and very overcrowded. There are plenty of things to do, and the weather is nice year round. In the 'winter' months, it rains more. It's a lot of fun, but bring some family or friends if you do get to come.

Yes, I have been to Hawaii. Fly to Honolulu and visit the sites there for a day or so, then move on to Maui. If you do go to the "Big Island", be very careful especially at night. There is a lot of crime there such as muggings and roberies.
