Or, I'd rather know, how long should I grill them on either side before they are cooked through?

Try 2 or 3 minutes on the first side. Less if the fire is very hot. Turn the BONELESS AND SKINLESS chicken breasts and cook them until the chicken breasts feel like pressing on you palm does. You want them to have a little give, but not much. Take them off the grill and let them rest covered with aluminum foil to keep them warm. Use a dry rub to season the chicken before placing on the grill. If you want to add Bar-B-Que sauce, then wait to the last minute to baste and let cook an additional minute or so on each side to caramelize.

For boneless chicken breasts we use the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com. Just enter the thickness of each chicken breast (or quantities that are the same thickness), the doneness you want from well done to very done, and it will calculate the grilling time and give you instructions for how to grill the chicken breasts so that they all come off the grill at the same time.

When grilled properly, they should be firm to the touch, but still juicy. Also, after grilling, allow them to rest for 5 minutes before cutting. This will also help to keep them juicy.

Chicken is a tough one to grill completely through on the grill, it can be done. A couple of ways to ensure that your chicken is done is 1. Partially boil them put seasoning in the water and boil for about three to four minutes then put on grill ad BBQ sauce. 2. put the chicken on the highest setting away from the hot cools cook slowly, turning about every three minutes it will not dry out.

I marinate mine in Italian dressing over nite, then grill for about 5 - 6 minutes a side, depending on how big they are, they come out so tender and moist it's unreal.

as with any meat...you want to cook them until the juices run clear. I have found that marinating them helps to keep them from drying out so bad, My favorite marinade as of right now is, Kens steak house balsamic vinegarette and has herbs in it.....this is really good.
