Coldsored need help how to get is away!?

I have this coldsore witch is like a zit too right on my upper lip line. I have a school dance coming up and I really want to get it away before the dance. Are there anything that you can make or by chep to make it go away in a week? I really need it gone! HELP

vitamin B tends to help--so take vitamin B supplements everyday, either as the overall complex or part of multivitamins. it may still take a couple days from when you start it. that's probably the best way to get rid of it without leaving a scar. other than that, use some concealer, and don't worry--u'll look great with or without the sore i am sure (although i know none of us would want to have it).

There is a prescription medication called Acyclovir that is made specifically for cold sores and other herpes infections. It should be started when the first tingle of an impending cold sore is felt. But it can be started anytime, although it usually still takes about a week with the medication for the scab to resolve vs the 10-15 days it takes on it's own to resolve. Over the counter( OTC) ibuprofen or Advil will help the fluid inside the blister to reabsorb temporarily, take it as the bottle instructs you to. There are OTC products for cold sores but they are alcohol based and sting alot and don't speed up healing time like the prescription medication.

forget all those other answers i get could sores 3-4x per year. heres what u do go to the nearest rx store and goto the viatmin isle and get L-Lysine. this is an amino acid pill. take 2-3 1000mg tabs at the tingle of the new sore if you all ready have one take 3x per day and this will reduce the time of the sore. dont put i repeat dont put any cream gels or carmex on the sore this will make it last longer. let it scb over and it will go any faster. When u get a new sore and feel it tingle take 2-3 pillls right away and 1 at night it may not even grow.

A coldsore, sometimes called a fever blister is caused by the herpes virus. Most everyone carries the herpes virus in their bodies. There are some good OTC meds that will help heal it. A week should be enough for you to rid yourself of it. Check the OTC meds at WalMart. Better still, ask the pharmacist to recommend his best idea of a product.

Try Campho-phenique cold sore cream. Get it at Walgreen's. Not too expensive, under $10.00. Works quick...GOOD LUCK!
