I am going to the doctor on Thursday and I just want to get some ideas as to what they could be. I searched Webmd and couldn't find anything that matched what I think it could be. Anyhow I have one lump that is the size of a half dollar, it feels flatter than the other which is more like a large bean. They are located on my lower back on the outer edges of my 'back dimples'. They move around but feel well attached.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

I have had those about 10 years. My doctor called them "fatty tumors". They usually form when there is a sudden increase or decrease in weight loss (pregnancy included). He said they are completely harmless, but to tell him they become tender to touch or painful in any way.

I am answering this question really to echo the advice already given. They are probably fatty deposits, BUT without doctor or practitioner performing an exam and looking and feeling them, you will be taking an unneeded risk.

Good luck!

Could be some fatty cysts or fatty deposits under the skin. Only your doc can find out for sure. Hope you can get it resolved easily though.
