To have a prejudice is to have a pre-conceived notion about someone. To discriminate against someone is to ACT upon a prejudice.

Prejudice is a preconcieved judgement which may not be applicable in all circumstances. It is thoughts.

Discrimination is action or lack of action to create preference or advantage to one person or group and the opposite to another. It is acts.

I may be prejudiced against Fords, and discriminate by never going to the Ford dealer when I'm shopping for a new car.

Prejudice is having an attitude about a person, thing, or group. Usually viewing this group in a negative light. This is morally wrong. But seriously, your views are not illegal until your views allow you to cloud your judgement and you do something stupid!
Discrimination is letting your attitude towards ... lead into your actions.This is where it becomes illegal. You allow your attitude to guide your actions towards someone.
