Is it possible for a person to die in heaven or hell? Is there such thing as pain in the afterlife?

In Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 our Creator shows us that in death, a person is not conscious. So therefor, no, a person cannot feel any pain.

As for dying in hell...
Hell is actually a word that some translations have used for the word grave. Other translations use the words Sheol, Hades or pit. (Ecc 9:10)
God has no fiery place of torment to punish people. The punishment for sin is death, nonexistence. So being in 'hell' or 'the grave', one is all ready dead.

As for dying in heaven...
Those who are chosen to go to heaven receive immortality. That is, they are incorruptible and will not die. (Luke 22:28-30;Rev 7:4;Rev 5:9,10;1 Cor 15:50-53)
And since these are in heaven and Gods will, total harmony and peace exists there, no pain would be experienced by anyone there.

NO! :D That's the BEST part of the after-life. Oh, but that's only in Heaven where there's no pain or suffering. Heaven is a place where you'll finally be in peace. In hell, however... well, it's not a pleasant place to be at so that's why I think we should do whatever we can to avoid ending up there. It's fire, fire, and more fire.
And people don't die in heaven or in hell. Being burnt in hell doesn't put you to death; a person's skin will be suited for the fire at that time. No death in either place, and that's why they like to call it "eternal".

You die before you go to heaven unless the rapture comes. Then you will never die. In hell there is pain for all eternity. There is fire & brimstone, gnashing of teeth. There the worms never died. Read the story of Lazarus and the Rich man. in Luke 16:20-25.

No. you die before you enter heaven or hell. Hell has torment, according to the bible.Luke 16:24
So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' So there are flames, and there is torment.

No...the afterlife, to my knowledge has no end...though not all world beliefs concur on this. It is my understanding that people who believe in hell either feel there will be excruciating pain there...or one giant party night. In heaven, all pain is gone from what I have studied or heard. The real problem is...no one has come back from either place yet to clue us in. - tweetie

1. My belief teaches me that we are raised up into a new better body that will last forever so that should let us know that there will be no second death " heaven or hell "
2. My belief teaches that those judged would either enter the new heaven & earth or be cast into the lake of fire for eternal damnation where the worms & fire would constantly consume their ever wakeing moments for the rest of eternity - so this would indicate pain.

Is the feeling when you lose someone to death pain? This is the type of hurt that will be felt in hell, not the pain of a broken bone.

if you die and go to heaven you will never ever feel pain or sorrow anything to hurt you. you will live in a place of beauty and joy and singing praise unto God.

If you die and go to hell, you will suffer eternal torment and will never get use to it.

I've had so much physical pain in this life, it would by wonderful to think there would be no pain. And unfortunately you have to die to get anywhere.

In heaven one cannot die or have pain. but in hell its lie your alive being tortured to death but you cant die and u will feel the pains of being tortured.
