Normal in a sense that it is a "zip-lock" seal type bag, not the one that actually has a little strip at the top where you slide it shut. Sorry about the crappy description...

I would think that would be ok. If they don't accept that type bag, most of the time they have extra of the zip lock bags at the security line. I have travel a bit lately and every security checkpoint I have been through has had extras just in case.

Hope this helps and have a great trip!

i dont think airport security is very concerned about the type of bag as much as they are the size and quantity of what is being carried inside. I have had shampoo and other stuff confiscated from me at an airport and the airport security worker explained to me that as long as the bottles are 3 ounces or less, and in a clear sealed bag, they are o.k. to travel with.

I just took the one that you slide it shut... no problem... We've taken the normal zip top type too. Just that it has to be one quart.
