Because Satan is trying to trip you up....If you can ask the question, you haven't done it....once people have blasphemed the Holy Spirit (the unpardonable sin) they are usually too far gone to willingly come back to the Lord.

Perfect love casts out Fear. Jesus is Perfect Love. Keep trusting and believing in Him. Read Philippians 4:4-8 and verses 13 & 19.
Think about the things in Philippians 4:8 and that will help keep your mind off of things that would make you fearful.

There is one unpardonable sin: Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

What is it?

Mat 12:31 "Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.

Mat 12:32 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the {age} to come.

Satan many times likes to torment people with the thought that they are guilty of committing the unpardonable sin. Many times people have a tortured soul thinking that they had committed that sin. If you are worried that you might have committed the unpardonable sin I can assure you that you have not. If you had you would not be the least bit worried or concerned. The fact that you are concerned indicates that the Spirit is still striving with you.

Example: Normal Mailer is a die hard aethiest. He will die denying the power and resurrection of Jesus. Therefore, he will be condemned to Hell.

As long as you want to repent, God will forgive you. When you start to say, "there is no God and Jesus is a farce" to the point of really meaning it, will you not be saved.

Biblical examples: Peter denied knowing Jesus. He cussed about not knowing Jesus. Yet, he repented and was forgiven.

Judas betrayed Jesus. He did not repent and is damned to hell because of it. Had he repented, then he would not have committed the unforgivable sin.

Get over it. Their is no such place as hell. Get out of your fantasy world and stop giving your money to a greedy pastor. Get real! And maybe go out and have some fun. Besides, the only unpardonable sin that I know of is murder or sex with your sister. Hmm....I hope you didnt do that...because since their is no God, the only person you need to be held accountable to is YOU. WOrry about what YOU think, what YOU know to be good and how YOU want to live your life. You can be a good person and have morals and help others without devoting your life to a church that is supposedly not profiting off of your following it. I was raised Christian, my friend, I worked for the "churchs ministry" and let me tell you. I stumbled upon some seriously scary things in their network computers. I am now an atheist because I realize, it's only business for them. And I also realize I was so ignorant to believe there was a place where my soul would be tortured for all eternity because I wasn't a follower? That heaven would take murderers as long as they asked for forgiveness and became born again...they only have to believe? Ridiculous. Their is no mystical place in the clouds with streets of gold and mansions aplenty for real believers. Wake up and go out and have fun. Be good, but have fun. I'm a good person, I have a family that I love and care for and I don't go to church. Should I go to hell? God is love? I'm so sure.

forgive me but apart from murder or rape what might you consider an unpardonable sin ?

surely you must simply be brave and kind to others

fear is simply something you felt momentarily because of your religious indoctrination etc. i suspect

humans have imagined all sorts of gods, demons and hobgoblins.

the happy truth is there are no gods or demons.
heavens or hells

we methinks have one opportunity to enjoy a heaven like experience on earth before we become worm food

and there are wonderful climates, ideas and people floating out there in the world

there is nothing to fear

trust in your better nature

you know exactly where it is

all will be well

best wishes

What do you fear will happen? Many of us experience unwarranted fear, it may be accompanied by health concerns, or simply thoughts. An explanation for why we have panic or fear can be found in the psychological arena in the fight or flight reflex built into our bodies that sometimes misfires when there is no warranted cause for fear.

There is no unpardonable sin that I am aware of, so you cannot have committed it. Only you can know what your thoughts are. - tweetie

If someone is worried about commiting the ' unpardonable sin ' that is a sure sign they haven't. Anyone who is convicted of their sins & comes to Christ will receive forgiveness. Anyone who has commited this 'sin' will not have conviction for their sin. We can know this because the Bible says all who come to Jesus will He accept. ALL!

The unpardonable sin is attributing a work of God to the Devil. The issue is if you recognize it as God but reject it. I doubt you have done this. As to Fear, it is not an attribute of God so you need to take your thoughts captive. Make it your goal to practice Phil 4: 8 at all times.

Satan is messing with your mind! If you had commited the unforgivable sin you would be beyond remorse, and the fact you have this fear indicates you are capable of the attitude of remorse, even if its in this case a faulty perception. Read verses like Romans 8:1 regularly. Our minds often don't believe things unless we keep reminding them, as they are prone to a sense of condemnation.

Matthew 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Blasphemy: evil speaking, railing

Have you railed against the holy ghost(from what i understand this is after you have discovered it really exists)? if yes your screwed. If no then repent and try to go on without faltering again.
