Why can't I just rest now, and not worry about the future?

I think with your views on life you will be productive and happy and alive for a long time to come and you should do whatever the hell you like.

I guess it all depends on whether you want to retire when your 68, that is if you are still working. It's actually a great year to start receiving your SSA benefit since it'll lead to higher monthly amount. With all luck, if you start a five year plan, you will get two or three more five year increments at the completion of the first one.

Why not? I couldn't imagine living my life without some general plan. They give us hope, something to look forward to for the short-term.

I think you worry about today and plan for tomorrow then. Live for today. Dont worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itsself.
