Would the Church stigmatize rape victims or consider them spoiled or not a good wife for a man from the church due to her past? ( I know it wasn't my fault and all that so no need to tell me that. But to be really honest it would have to come out between the man and the potential bride. Please just answer the question if you will ).

A big NO!!!

No church would do this and anyone who did has no right to call themselves a Christian or a human being.

Rape is a horrible thing, but remember also God suffered as well as was tortured to death. I think that when two people really love each other they can get past this.

No way. The church does not even need to know unless you are struggling with it yourself and need to ask for prayer. A rape victim is not stained with a big red "R" so everyone knows you're damaged goods, you are a person who has been hurt.

If a rape victim were being treated this way by people in the church, it would be time to find a different church.

I don't think any of the mainstream Christian denominations would do that. There may be some of the more extreme ones that do, but I don't know that for sure. There are some non-Christian cultural practices that do stigmatize women for being raped and consider them ruined for marriage.

But again, I don't think any of the modern, mainstream Christian churches would.

Most mainstream churches wouldn't condemn you if you had spent some time as a prostitute if you turned your life around so when you are the victim of a crime they wouldn't condemn you for that at all - unless they were very strange and wrong and you shouldn't be going anywhere near people like that

Most churches would no longer stigmatize you but not all christian men will be that forgiving. I don't understand it myself, but there are christians who will see you as having been soiled.

One thing I would say is that you should be honest about it. You don't want to get tied up with someone who feels that way.
