I would say corn because the way I cook there is lots of butter in my mash potatoes with gravy or cheese.

Both potatoes and corn are good vegetables with their own vitamins and minerals. Eat a small helping of each. Variety is good in nutrition.
Potatoes have minerals from the ground where they grew. They also have vitamin C,some protein, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, as well as starch and fiber
Corn has some protein, phosphorus, potassium, vitamin A, fiber and starch also.
What you put on either contributes to the calories.

I put lots of butter in mashed potatoes...so I would have to say corn but then canned corn is not so great for you either...
Anyway, good luck choosing!

I would say a plain mashed potato because it doesn't have any fat in it like corn does, although corn has more insoluable fiber.

both are starches....but I would have to agree with the corn. Not because of the butter and potatos, but just because it goes through your system so fast.

Corn is loaded with Sugar; Potaotes are loaded with carbohydrates. I'd avoid them both if I were on a diet or a diabetic.

I read somewhere recently that corn is the unhealthiest vegetable there is. It is loaded with sugar and carbohydrates.
