We just bought a Samsung mini DV SC-D453 (video recorder) and i plugged it into my computer through the usb cable but my computer wont ackknowledge it because it says it cannot find the software to install it onto the computer. it asks if we have a cd-rom to install it but none came with the camcorder. what do i do? i really want to use it to record videos of my son to email to his gramma so i dont know what to do.

Are you sure you didn't get a CD?? Man, they're crazy. They give you the usb cable but, not the CD that goes with it??.. Only way to get it to work is if you find out which CD you need then download the necessary software.. Sorry, but you can't do anything till you get that CD.
P.S. When I got my video recorder the CD was in this book.. it was on the side.. Maybe you should check the books and manuals and everything..Good Luck!!
