This past November my female boxer had her first litter of pups. Throughout the pregnancy she seemed depressed off and on, she was also very clingy! When I took her to the vet he said that this is normal in some dogs and it just kind of depends on their personality. With my boxer I gave her lots of extra attention, new toys, her favorite treats, car rides, an so on throughout the pregnancy.

Good luck with everything!

She may be feeling a little confused.....how long ago was her last litter?

If your worried I'd get the vet to take a look especially if the litter is due soon, could have complications

Good luck

Your vet would be able to tell you what problems she's having when you take her in for her pre-whelping exam. You are taking her, aren't you? Also maybe you could discuss getting her spayed since you obviously didn't learn anything about whelping last time this poor dog was put through this!

I worry that maybe she is due and they won't come out. She could be in pain or uncomfortable. Take her to a vet. I would also get her neutered after this delivery; it's noticeable that she is miserable.

Mite be she knows whats coming... pain wise? puppy wise & the looking after them after.

Or maybe she just feels a little insecure, feeling strange and not sure why yet? Maybe its her 'nesting time' and she cant find a place to settle happily?

She knows whats ahead of her... Dogs have memory. I think she has probably formed association between you and labor... You must had been a terrific comfort to her and she wants to make sure your going to be there for her this time as well...

Perhaps she needs a vet check and is following you around because she doesn't have words to say:

Something is dreadfully wrong with me and if I don't get to a vet soon I will die.
