i got this in the mail and i was wondering if it's actually worth it, it said i was chosen to represent my school-but there's people better than me so it doesn't quite make sense-i was a HOBY finalist though...

GO TO IT. this is very important. it will definitely help you in your future. this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and not just anyone gets to go. being a HOBY finalist probably helped you get nominated. going to this will also look really good on your resume, unless you plan to flip burgers the rest of your life.

I think it's total BS and it doensn't really matter for college and stuff. I am definitely not the top of my class, and I heard it's just like watevr (from the college site). It's SUPER expensive and sounds like a waste of time. I would recommend just doing the political conference for about 1/2 the price and less ppl signed up for it hence better for college and stuff

i attended the jrnylc as specific it replace into completely properly worth it. It replace into very relaxing and we visited all the monuments in DC. specific, it does look sturdy on an application because of the fact it shows management and colleges love that. I met a great number of recent human beings from everywhere in the rustic. it replace right into a great journey and that i might do it lower back

MY DAUGHTER GOT ONE ALSO - BUT HERS WAS A LETTER IN THE MAIL. SHE HAS A 4.5 GPA. I SPOKE TO HER SCHOOL COUNSELOR AND HE HAS NEVER HEARD OF IT. HE SUGGESTED I CALL THE NSLC AND ASK THEM 1. HOW THEY GOT OUR DAUGHTER'S NAME AND ADDRESS AND 2. IF THEY COULD GIVE ME ANY REFERENCES FROM OUR AREA OF STUDENTS WHO HAVE GONE. I CALLED THE NSLC AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD FORWARD ME THE REFERENCES VIA E-MAIL BY THIS AFTERNOON. THEY ALSO SAID THAT HER NAME/ADDRESS WAS CHOSEN FROM HER PSAT SCORE.

2 Girls at my school (Nicole and Lauren) were also chosen to go in the summer. They are really very excited and cannot wait!
