It depends on the mood. Sometimes you have to kiss to match the mood. A sweet peck on the cheek is comforting to make you rman feel he's worth it, he's special, and he's important. A slow, passionate kiss is great for moments to break tension, as well as iniating intimacy. French kissing is great, but should be done only in the hottest of moments.
Tongue swapping isn't always the best way to kiss. Playing with the lips is creative: kissing the top and bottom lips alternatively is a great turn on. Sucking briefly on the lips while kissing is great too.

Best kiss I ever got was a quick peck on the lips from a girlfriend who was in the hospital.
We had separated due to an argument. When I went to see her in the hospital, we talked for a while, then she dozed off. I rested my head on the bed and dozed off as well.
When I woke up, she was looking in my eyes and smiling. And, ever so gently, she lifted her head, briefly touched her lips to mind, and put her head back down on the bed. Still smiling. It was her way of forgiving me.
To this day, a soft kiss on the lips, preferably while cuddling, is the way I most like to be kissed.
