going into the light?

Question

Everytime you watch tv or hear of near death experiences or read religious books, they tell you about going into the light and living happily ever after in peace and harmony and wisdom and all that.

But i recently heard that this is actually a trap. That the light leads to a place where the creatures will feast on your soul. That these evil beings are waiting to torture you, once you are out of your physical body. That you will end up in a new illusionary world out of which it will be very hard to escape. And so on.

Do you have more info on this line of thinking?

Lucifer, is actually the most beautiful angel ever created....so yeah...I'd be kind of wary of stepping into the light without asking who's there first.

interesting, I think once I saw a program in the discovery channel about a guy who was basically atheist, but then he had an operation and he died for a few minutes. During that time he saw his own body in the bed, and then he went to this dark place, and he saw these shadowy figures that started to gnaw every part of his body, they were eating him!! then he heard a voice telling him to pray for Jesus, and since he didn't know any prayers he just said" Jesus save me lord" and then he saw a dim light in the darkness then he saw angels dancing in a circle, he says they were very beautiful and that the creatures eating him went away just by hearing his prayers and such, he says he felt Jesus's warmth and love....he didn't die and guess what? he became a priest he 100% believes in God

The human brain does some very interesting things when it is near death, usually starting with a massive dumping of adrenaline into the bloodstream. Study up on neurochemistry, particularly how it relates to so-called near death experiences. They are not actual experiences, they are hallucinations.

Well, seeing as nobody has actually seen or talked about these creatures after a NDE, and nobody has actually died and then come back afterwards, I think that's probably made up.
