I guess it depends on the look you want to acheive and/or how you plan to wear the hair around your face. A high pony can create more height in the crown for individuals that desire to create the illusion of length. It looks great with side-swept fringe, Barbie bangs, baby bangs, or no fringe at all. The low pony offer a more sophisticated/metropolitan look. It looks great with pompadore bangs, side-swept fringe, and can be pinned into create shapes for an even more finished result.

I hate those Genie ponytails That those sisters be wearing one time i was at the movies and this girl ponytail was so high that I could not even enjoy the dam movie I don't know I think the ponytails are for the cheerleaders if you are over 18 dint do the ponytail. I hope this helped

Both are cute. It depends on what you're going for. If you want to go for like a sophisticated look, then it's better with a low ponytail. If you want to go for a flirty look, high ponytails are better.
I usually prefer high ponytails. But sometimes, when i want a sideways ponytail, i make it a low ponytail.

the current style is a lower ponytail. you can wear a high ponytail with longer hair and get away with it but it is usually best to wear the low ponytail- it is a classier look for most.

i prefer higher..and i think high looks better too..and i definitally wear high most often
what is really big at my school and around where i live is where u put your hair in a high ponytail near the crown of your head and then tie a 1 inch thick ribbon in your hair like a bow..it looks really cute and preppy!! hope this helped!!

I think both have their places:
I usually wear my pony tail high--I hate hair on my neck.
but a low ponytail with a side part is cute for work--when you want to look more pulled together/serious

High but not too high! Okay..What i do is that i put my ponytail in the middle of the back of my head and align it with my eyes..then its not tooo high.
Low pony tails are what tomboys wear.

high definately. it was #2 on Allures 10 beauty countdowns for spring 2007. use a curling iron at the bottom to get a bouncy and healthy look.

very high, on the crown of the head says, "MISTRESS" (as in Dominatrix) to me...if that is what you are going for, perfect!
otherwise, wear your ponytail a little lower....like on the back of your head, or at the nape of your neck

It depends on what look you want.....if you want fun cute and preppy then wear it high but If you want more sophisticated "grown-up" wear it low.
