my boyfriends birthday is coming up and a month ago we went to this far away store and he really wanted to buy something so i told him let me pay for it because i wanted to buy it for him and he would not let me so i said fine since i was going to buy you something from here for your birthday let me pay for it and it will be you birthday present. and after a while i convinced him to let me pay for it. i was wondering if i should still buy him something because what i got for him cost over 350 dollers.????

I would just get him a card..Im not sure what the gift was..Id say maybe something small to go with it..if you wanted to..like say it was a stero system ...maybe a $10 cd...I wouldnt let this additional gift cost more than $20 tops and by all means you don't even have to get him that. I've never spent $350 on a gift for any guy. Your income may be higher than what I make..but I think the gift was already extremely gracious of you

Get him a card or a hand written note to say Happy B'day and tell him how you enjoy the fact that he has what he wanted for his b'day a "little early". Make him some cookies/brownies/a b'day cake, or make or buy his favorite treat and say a balloon...some small tricket to say you remember his day. He'll be satisfied knowng you cared. If he expects something big on his special day, then he found himself a Sugar MOMMA!!!!

Lavish gifts don't buy LOVE and companionship....you may be being used.....

I think if it cost over 350 then I think it would be ok just doing that for his birthday present. If he has a promlbe then I think its his promble not yours. I think it should be the throught of the present not what it cost or how many you get.

It's fine. If you guys agreed that you would buy him that for his birthday, then he got his b-day present.

But $350 is a lot to spend on someone who is just your boyfriend.

well, when you bought it, u said that its going to be his birthday present, didnt you? well, before his birthday, just bring up the topic gently again. smth like 'how to you like that thing we bought' and then say: 'im glad i was lucky to get you smth u like for a birthday present. maybe we can do same with my birthday present. i find smth i really like and then you can get it as my present'. Apart from that, i would get him a card

You shouldn't buy something that costs that much money for someone unless you're engaged to be married or are married.
