Ive been a martial artist since about eight (off and on) and I've found that when it was hard for me to get to( I was brought up traveling all over the place) that I trained the hardest but as of late Im in the military and I'm married with a child, and I feel like Ive almost completely lost all will to train. It was like my drive and will to train went from a blazing infereno to an insignificant glow, I'm sure someone out there has had this problem, I want to train but it's just so hard to kick myself into gear and do it, what can I do? I've tried but have failed so could someone help me out

You and me both, brother! Drives you nuts doesn't it? I wish there was some magic answer, but I think it is just something that happens when we get away from it for so long. I was a kickboxer in the 1980s.

Have you ever thought about other ways to be involved in MA without actually practicing?

I took what I learned and am using it as a ring announcer for martial arts events (Kickboxing, Draka, Grappling, Sport Karate). This keeps me involved in the MA scene and with the people. I am also called upon once in a while to teach my fighting specialty (spinning bottom fist) to young fighters. Maybe you could help as a cornerman, timekeeper, judge, referee, etc.

Believe me it's nice to step in and out of the ropes and not get beat up in between!

This, my friend, is all about what martial arts is about. Sooner or later we all have to face our dragon within. This dragon does what it can to slow us down, hold us back, limit us and defeat us. But you realize that the dragon is within you. Once you defeat your dragon, you realize the true meaning of martial arts. It is a life lesson, not just a lesson in fighting. Use what you have learnt and don't give up. Beat the dragon.

You need to discover your inner resources, we all have.
Try other forms of activities to enhance your will, you simply have slowed down. I am in my 50's and have clips of an 80 year old runnin around an 18 hole disc golf course with me, he as I hope has found this inner resource.
This is a Great Benefit of many Religons.
