My B-day is comming up soon and my parents hate piercings! They think its stupid and when I bring the subject up they get pissed. They think my family would blame my parents if I get it pierced and my family will talk crap behind our back. So what should I do!

My answer would be,, go ahead,, you can always let it grow up if you decide later to let it. That is fixable unlike a tattoo.. go ahead

are you concerned about your parents because you want their blessing or you're under 18 and need permission? either way, you should just sit down and have a reasonable discussion with them. ask them why they are against it, explain to them why you want it. explain that by throwing a fit when you even bring up the subject, you feel as though they are not respecting you and your choices about your body, and how can you respect their opinions if they can't even hear yours out. if you are over 18 you can explain that it is your body and you are going to do it anyways but you would like them to understand where you are coming from in your decision.

I don't blame them - piercings and tattoos are so ugly & no matter if its wrong or right, people do judge you on your appearance. Grow up!

maybe you shouldnt get a lip piercing, they look awkward and what are you going to do when youre 80 and you have a hole in your lip?
