DUE THE AGE OF THE CAR I WOULD SAY NO MORE THAN $5500 US DOLLARS

I've recently seen NA versions listed for $10k CND and sell. The TTs are rarer and much more valuable. They were close to $60K new in the 90s. I would be wary of such a modified car though. It's more likely been abused than a stock one. It's likely to be better maintained, but that's just a generalization, too.

Try comparing it to listings on online classified sites, and ratings sites. Kelly Blue Book...

A warning about these cars: Unless you are handy around the engine bay, they are expensive to maintain and repair. The engine is very limited production, and even many Nissan Techs are unfamilliar with it (it was only used in 90-96 300ZXs). The engine code is VG30DETT, which makes it similar in design to the the very common VG30E, but that D makes it completely different. It means it is a twin-cam. It has a completely different engine block and heads. The intake and exhaust are unique to that engine as are the engine controls (ECU).

It had Variable Cam Timing, and they were not like modern Variable Cam systems. If the oil wasn't changed regularly, the VTCs, the hydraulic actuators that shift the cam mechanically, will fail if they haven't already. You have to listen to the engine closely, just after starting it cold. It's a distinct ticking that may or may not go away. Be careful not to mistake the ticking of the injectors for bad VTCs though. Use a long screwdriver against your ear to use as a probe. Put it on the VTCs, then on the Injectors, and compare the noises.

The rear suspensions tend to sag over time, bushings get soft and worn. The rear differential mounts can be torn. Listen/feel for clunking in the drivetrain under accel and decel.

Another costly repair can be broken switches for the power seats. Apparently they are often kicked by people getting into and out-of the car. They are brittle and break and are expensive to buy from the dealer. I believe they had upgraded switches in later models (93+).

Front brakes on the early models are sometimes problematic, and the best solution is to upgrade the brakes (calipers, rotors and pads) to the post-93 brakes.

The first link below is fairly comprehensive. I suggest you read it.

1990 Nissan 300zx Value

Even with all that, it's going to depend on how many miles it has on it. That car was made the same year I was born so it's pretty old for a car. The condition of engine also would have some gravity to the price.

Maybe 10K.
