I have liked a boy from the beginning of the school year. He's 2 years older than me. He would always flirt and stuff, but that's just the way he is. I don't know if he's ever had a relationship, and he is just friends with a lot of girls.So Valentine's Day came around, and he was talking to me again, flirting and making comments, asking if I had any plans for the spring formal dance, which wastwo weeks away, and told me that he was going to ask his girl tomorrow, which would be V-day. He asked her, it wasn't me. I decided to finally give up, even though I knew I still liked him. But then his bbf, also two years older than me, starts talknig to me. To make a long story short, he asked me to formal and I said yes. He was really nice. At formal he told me he likes me but doesn't want to rush things, etc, etc. Now inside me, I know I have the feeling that I like someone, but I feel like it's no longer the first one, but idk if it's the new one. I've never been this confused. Which one?

When I am with the boy I went to formal with, I am happy. I loved dancing with him. It was...nice. We were right next to the first boy and his date the whole time and I didn't fret much about him dancing with her. I didn't feel like I cared. When the night ended, I wanted to see my date again. But does this necessarily mean I like him, or could I just be enjoying the fact that he likes me? Because he is just sooo nice to me.

yeah u sound confused but im glad you added the details. that is an ongoing question, whether we like someone because they are nice, or just because they give us attention. i think since you are young, and a little inexperienced in this area its most likely tha tyou enjoy feeling liked, and enjoy that he is nice to you. its a normal reaction, believe me, i was a teen too (im 24 now). it puts you in sort of a haze. but then usually when u start to hang out more often you start to get to know them, and their true personality....then u will find that there are certain charactersistics that you really appreciate about that person, and u will find that u like them on a whole different level. it wont always get there so quickly, it takes time to get to know a person. but just have fun for now and dont stress it.

I think it give it some time with this guy that you dated (at the dance). After a couple of dates, if you don't feel anything for him then stop dating him. But make sure you explain why. Then talk to the first guy (in your qustion).

haah.... this kind of sounds like me. well sorry i am still confused to whom i like or if i even like a guy. but i have made my decision that i do like him. =T
but i think your enjoying the second guy and you are opening your mind and discovering things i think you are starting to like the 2nd guy =D (the first ones friend) well good luck with that new guy. I think you are over the first one.

you should go with his friend because hes really not paying attention to you but his friend is thats what i would do.
