How do you make home made ones? Is it just tomato juice and vodka?
It cant be very fattening!?

EH? A bloody mary is the manliest drink there is - especially if its got extra tabasco sauce.
And you're worried about how fattening a drink is...are you sure your not a gay?

Bloody Mary's are not fattening at all. In fact compared to other alcoholic drinks it is probably one of the better ones.
And anyone that thinks you are gay for drinking a bloody mary has to have a personal problem. Some of the toughest guys I know order them. They also where pink shirts!
As for a recipe, there are a ton. Most start out with tomato juice and vodka. But that is where commonality ends!

bloody mary is cool for a guy to drink as long as your hungover from the night before and its breakfast/lunch time. pretty much a hangover drink. not really fattening, just tomato juice, vodka, tabasco, worchester, and garnish with celery. sounds like V8 right?? anything like that should be healthy enough. by the way, if you're going to get one, make sure to ask for a TRUE bloody mary, NO BLOODY MARY MIX, these come in premade packets where you just add the vodka and are an insult to the real drink.

No fattening than a G&T I imagine. Think you're gay? Why? Tomato juice & vodka (proportions to taste) touch of Tabasco if you like. Drop or two of lemon juice gives it an edge.

I work on the railroad (very manly). When they guys go out a lot of them will start out with a Bloody Mary, you can get them really spicy or really sweet. I don't think it's girly at all, I prefer mine with a pickle though. I'd also suggest Clamato juice, unless you're allergic to seafood.

Drinking any drink doesn't make you look gay. People who think that, are insane and not wel educated on the fact what being gay is, because you're born with that and not because you choose to drink a Bloody Mary.

bloody mary=good.
the trick to the best (home made) bloody mary is clamato juice and lime-flavored vodka.
you must also include:
celery salt
worcestershire
tabasco
more lime juice
you get the idea. you can be creative--i've used the juice of pickled jalapenos, pepperoncinis. etc...
i can't give out the exact recipe as it is a closely guarded secret of mine, but i just wanted you to know that lime vodka and clamato are the essential ingredients!

only the vodka is caloric.
try this:
1oz vodka
2 shakes pepper
2 shakes salt
2 shakes celery salt
4 drops worchestershire sauce
tomato juice or V-8
shake or stir well and pour over ice in glass.
I like a squeeze of lime in mine.
And no, they aren't queer. In Texas we drink them as the hair of the dog that bit you the night before.
With beef broth, it is a bull shot. With beef br. and tomato, it's a bloody bull. with Clamato, it's a clamdigger. With no booze, it's a bloodyshame.

Not at all fattening - and not at all gay
My Husband makes his with V8, Absolute Peppar, Worcestershire, celery salt, pepper, horseradish, Tabasco, sometimes he uses clamato instead of the V8 or even adds beef stock (but I think that's actually another drink) and his garnish of choice is kosher dill pickles (no woosey celery here)
When we go camping, boating or out at the cabin all the guys start a rough morning out with this - so not gay at all.

Vodka is possibly the least fattening alcohol you can drink and tomato juice is a healthier option than Coke or other sodas. You also need to add a dash of Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and Tabasco. However, I'm afraid to say, it is a bit of a girly drink.

Actually it's healthy because of the powers of tomato juice. Add a dash of Worcestershire, a drop or two of lemon, a stalk of celery.... and go for it. Heck no .... it's not a gay drink. I'ver seen lots of guys on Bourbon St. throw those back.
