so i like this guy and i think about him a lot when i'm not with him. but when i hang out with him, i have fun, but i don't have those same feelings. he's my good friend and its confusing me because i have really strong feelings for him when i'm not around him

Sounds like the two of you are better off as friends and not the dating type. You should express to him how you are feeling and see if he has those same feeling and if not then just keep that close bond as friends. I have a close guy friend but we don't hug and I don't have strong feelings for him. Maybe you want a to be in a relationship and these feelings are starting to show up because u are always around this guy. Don't stop being friends whatever because he may not feel the same.

i can totally relate. i dont know whether you have same reasons or not, but here it goes. When i really want love in my life, i start dreaming about having it, being in love with a guy. then i choose a guy im close friends with or know very well and i start dreaming about him. not because im in love with him or want to be with him, but because i just need to feel those feelings. and when i see a guy, i feel like he is my friend and nothing more.

sometimes it takes a while to develop feelings of love and romance. keep being his friend and see how things go. no reason to rush directly from new friend to serious relationship. one date at a time and see how it goes. if it materializes to love, then that is great. if not, then at least you can be great friends
