this trip is getting expensive so trying to find something free to do during March 15-18

Hmm. Atlanta's not a great tourist city, but there's Centennial Olympic Park, and Underground Atlanta's free to get into (even if it's really a glorified shopping mall).

Stone Mountain, though, is probably your best bet overall. You can easily burn a day there, but I don't remember how much it costs to get into the park (if anything).

Phipps and Lenox are two pretty big, nice malls; and there's the Mall of Georgia (second biggest in the country) further north of the city - if you're into browsing without buying.

You can go to centinial olympic park.... it's in downtown and sometimes you can get free tours of the broadcasting center near the area. You can also visit lil 5 points it's a nice place to go and take pictures. Someimtes piedmont park will have free celebrations going on and hey stop by a gas station and get visitor guides for discounts and coupons.
