"Sean Hannity claimed that incoming Rep. Keith Ellison's reported intention to use a copy of the Quran apparently during the ceremonial photo op on the day he is sworn in "will embolden Islamic extremists and make new ones" and suggested that using the Quran for a swearing-in is comparable to using "Hitler's Mein Kampf, which is the Nazi bible."

Hannity is a buffoon. He claims to be a patriot yet he is willing to ignore one of our basic freedoms, namely freedom of religion. In Hannity's mind you're free to practice whatever religion you want to, as long as it's Christian. That makes him a hypocrite as well as a buffoon.

In tone, if not in content.

Father Coughlin was a catholic priest who, like the current ex-nazi pope, felt that fascism was a good defense against communism so he would have been unlikely to compare the Quran to Mein Kampf, he would have probably said Marx's Communist Manifesto.

Note that the right wing still likes fascist dictators more than socialists or communists. They have learned, however, that Hitler is generally considered a bad fascist to bring up as an example.

Unbelievable. Its hard to believe that there are still idiots like this being taken seriously. It does reek of the same kind of **** that Coughlin promoted.
