do you have to make an appointments or 'register' to go to them. or can i just turn up on any given day

if u havent been before you just turn up and go to the main office and they ask for ur name, address and doctors then you take a seat and your seen

then next time you just go just turn up again and give your name thats pretty much it

I suppose it may vary, but in general I suspect most clinics will expect you to make an appointment, except perhaps for emergency contraception.

Since local rules will apply, why don't you just give them a ring and ask how they run things?

If you mean for a "procedure", you need an appointment. Typically you need to do a one=shot counseling session first and return the next day. At least here.

Call the clinic and see. Many have different ways of doing business.

if you are pregnant or think you might be, they will make you fill out a form 121A for potenital risk cases and give a blood sample. if you have hiv or any disease that is a concern, they will have you placed into protective custody and observe you for 12 hours. just dont tell them you are pregnant. tell them you are 'with child"
