Within 6 hrs after I take a shower my face becomes oily and so does my hair. I wash my hair daily and I use H&S classic clean shampoo. Is there anything else I should be doing? What causes all this oil on my face (not the rest of the body)? How can I prevent it? I tried a shampoo for oily hair and it seemed to make it worse. I really can't afford to see a dermatologist. Please help.

It possible your over washing.
I know that can happen with your face. If you wash your face twice daily and don't moisturize, your skin can get really dry. That causes it to produce extra oil to compensate. If your worried about clogging your pores with moisturizer, just look for one that says oil-free on the front.
I'm not sure about the hair, it could be the same thing. If you ever have a day off from school or something, go without washing your hair even if it looks digusting. Do it as much as often and it will teach your hair to produce less oil.
Good luck. =]

You're drying out your hair and skin too much and that's making your skin and body overgenerate oil rather than get rid of the oil.

You need to start accepting that you have oily hair and skin, instead of trying to dry it out as much as possible and making the system look worse.

I'd also do a light cleanser along the lines of Johnson and Johnson's clean and clear for your face, and don't forget to moisturize your face (get the kind that doesn't clog pores).

As for your hair, you need to really shampoo your scalp, rinse it out carefully and clean out all the shampoo suds, then do a conditioner so that way your skin doesn't overreact and generate triple the amount of oil it normally would.

Perhaps your shampoo/face cleanser is very drying, stripping your skin of oil. Your body might sense this loss of oil and try to compensate for it by producing even more oil. Maybe you should try moisturizing your skin with oil specifically for your skin--if you can't find any, I've heard jojoba oil works wonders. Might seem like it defeats the purpose--I mean, here your skin is way too oily, and I'm telling you to put on MORE oil? But it may work--your body can sense the oil and therefore won't produce any more. Try it and see! :)

oily face and hair- usually means lacking in moisture- it may sound backwards but true- be sure u r using a facial mositurizer daily- and the same goes for hair- look for a shampoo that is made for oily hair but remember to also be using a light detangler as well- you may even consider a moisturizing shampoo- because what is happening in both areas is they are lacking moisture so your oil glands are overproducing trying to make up for what it's missing. i hope that helps. MOISTURIZE!

try dabbing your face with rice paper during the day to take up the oil. I even have oily hair, bypass uncomplicated on the hair conditioner (do no longer positioned it on your scalp) and take a verify out no longer play which comprise your hair too plenty.

You shouldn't be washing your hair everyday, people like me have to but you shouldn't. And maybe you need to try a differnt face wash. Good Luck.
