I am in need of numbers and dates. I am mostly referring to the continuous firebombings that occurred in 1945 before the dropping of the nukes. I know that the US was killing thousands a week but that wasn't enough and they were doing everything they could to kill faster. I need numbers, approximate dates and most importantly sources because this will need to be verified. How many died in particular raids is useless. I need weekly figures.

Well, I was unable to find anything useful even searching what you suggested. Also, I don't need figures for specific instances. Really, the time period I am interested in, ends with the dropping of Little Boy. Firebombing was continuously occuring all over japan. It would be nearly impossible (for me) to track each mission. I know these figures were calculated and well known among officials during the war. The numbers we hear about tend to be post-war calculations. I am sure that every general in the AF was well aware of the Japanese population, its distribution, and how many were dying with these raids. I gues that I would just like to be aware of it as well.
