not much you can do now, just keep it clean. for the future whenever you get a burn, run it under cold water IMMEDIATELY and hold it there for 5 minutes, most of the damage done by a burn is after the incident as the residual heat burns internal tissue. if you do that it you will stop the burn but you have to do it straight away seconds count

Sounds like a 3rd degree burn. When a burnt area turns white and ceases to hurt, then it's 3rd degree - you've burnt it so badly that you burnt the nerve receptors and that's why you're not feeling pain in the area anymore. The seriousness will depend on how large of an area you burned. Any circumferential burn (one that completely encircles a limb or digit) is considered extremely serious regardless of the amount of body surface area involved. With that type of burn, there is a danger of a complication called "compartment syndrome" and potential loss of the body part involved. Google compartment syndrome for more info. Please see a doc; it really sounds like you have a 3rd degree burn, and without seeing it for myself, I can't tell you how serious it is.

i am trained in first aid i would reccomend that you turn your cold water tap on leave it running and hold ur hand under the running water making sure that the affected area is covered with water this may sting for a few minutes leave it for another few minutes then carefully dry your hand do not cover the affected area later on or tommorow your finger may blister this is perfectly normal give or take a few days and youll be better
