Chihuahua's are the smallest dogs I can KNOW will be guaranteed to fit into your pocket book.

Miniture Poodle or Teacup Poodle

You might been interested in a miniature Yorkie, there a small dog that can grow up to be the size of a pop can or a small jar, (3-5" tall). There pretty friendly dogs, They can be little ankle biters at times! But If you dog get on make sure NO one steps on it!

Chiahuahuas are the smallest breed of dog. Some other small ones include Pomeranians (I have one, he's halarious!), Maltese, Bichon Frises, and Yorkshire Terriers.
I reccomend looking up the Toy Group on google. The toy group is the smallest group of dogs, and you will be able to see the requirements of owning one.

Toy poodles are very small, also miniature dashounds. Of course the poodles would need to have a hair cut every now and then where a min. dashound wouldn't. Both breeds are really cute and nice. Treat any small dog gently and tender.

Why? Because you are too lazy to deal with a dog that needs to walk????
All dogs no matter what size they are, need exercise, obedience training, healthy food and be comfortable in the knowledge that they are a memeber of a 'pack'.
If you want a dog to fit into a purse so that you can walk around feeling fashionable, I suggest you spend your money on something else. A dog will poo in your purse, will pee on your bed, will bite, and bark constantly. The type of lifestyle you are going to provide for a canine is a recipe for disaster. And you will end up dumping your adopted 'friend' in a shelter, or as fight-lure for the drug-dealing pitbull owner on the next block.
Have some compassion, don't so it!

Tea cup poodles is what i think they are called. I know their in the poodle family and they get to be like 5 lbs

well i have a french poodle pocket. they are really hard to find because they aren't like any other breed. they are the puppy that is born last of the group. so the kennel club doesn't approve them
