Though there were 10 plagues, there were only 7 pronouncements by Moses. The first three Pharaoh hardened his own heart, and the last three, it says God hardened Pharaoh's heart.
These 7 judgments against those who would challenge God establish a pattern for the four sevens in the book of Revelation.
Now the rest is up to you to compare and contrast the settings and circumstance to draw corollaries and conclusions.
