you can drink water or black tea.keep away from the milk,till after your test

There is now a school of thought that says that you do not need to fast before a cholestrol test as it has no meaningful effect on the results. This is now widely accepted.
Certainly water would have no effect anyway

Cholesterol blood tests are usually fasting tests, which means you are not allowed to eat or drink anything from midnight the night before apart from water, until the test is done then you can eat and drink whatever you like.

I think you are supposed to fast, so I don't think you can have anything to eat or drink!!
