I was told the lump on my lower back was a lipoma, and the symptoms of it have changed slightly. earlier it hurt if i pushed on it, and now it just hurts below it sometimes. also, it has changed in size, i cant really tell you if its goten biger or smaller, just changed. could it have developed into something else. if this helps i have a lot of histery of cancer in my family.

Firstly, doctors are not allowed to diagnose over the internet. If you are concerned about it, you should see your doctor. Lipomas can change, and it can be a normal thing for a lipoma. You can have these removed, so if it bothers you, just have it removed. Here is a link to explain about what can happen when you have a lipoma:

A lipoma is a faty tumour and it is benign (harmless). If you have been pressing it and touching it you might just be aggrevating it thus causing pain or discomfort. If you have doubts get it rechecked.

I'm a nurse. Go back to the doctor right away this isn't good. Also getting a second opinion would be something else I would do. Take care and all the best.
