People think I'm weird putting sliced banana with tuna mayo and lettuce, so I tell them to try chocolate spread and garlic sausgae!!

Sugar. It sticks to the butter and makes a lovely crunch. This started when I was a kid, my Dutch mother couldn't get haagoslaacht (sp?) in London. Haagoslaacht mean "hailstones" in Dutch and you can get it chocolate or multicoloured, and children put it on their bread. So my Ma improvised with sugar and even today I still have the occasional sugar sarnie, with lemon juice sprinkled on it. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

I like a tuna melt made with canned tuna, honey instead of mayo, and pepper jack cheese. People think I'm gross, but once they try it they agree that its pretty tasty!

When I was growing up we had lettuce and tomatoe sandwiches with salad dressing. Bologna and jelly sandwiches. Meat,salad dressing, mustard and potatoe chip sandwiches. Maybe not so weird, but deliscious.

I don't eat these but I have a friend that eats peanut butter & bologna sandwiches. Sometimes she'll fry the bologna a little first. I have never tried it but her and the rest of the family eat them all the time.

I love philledelphia cream cheese and raspberry jam ! YUM YUM.
A filling that my Mother likes is coleslaw and tuna mayonnaise !
another favourite of mine is fennelslaw (coleslaw but replace the cabbage with fennel), salmon and cous cous.

I love jam on my sandwiches! It creates that whole sweet/savory balance that is so great. I really like a grilled banana/cheese/jam sandwich or a turkey sandwich w/strawberry jam.

Peanut butter thick chili cheese sour cream Texas toasted sandwich is excellent. ( No noodles)

not a sandwich filler as such,but when i go to the local chip shop,cant resist a rissole in batter inside a buttered bread roll.oh and a little tomato sauce!!!!!!!

My mum likes chocolate (preferably easter egg chocolate) with cheese. Or with marmalade. On brown bread.
