I have noticed over the past week that I have developed many raised red spots, approx size of rubber on top of the end of a pencil, some itch, some dont. I feel generally well, a little bit snuffly but then thats prob the weather. I have a cat who is de-fleaed every month so did not think it was fleas. Anyone got any ideas on waht they may be? The y disappear when a glass is pressed against them. Wanted to get an idea before I go to the doctors. Hope someone could help!

Best to visit the doctor as you may need treatment or tests done to see what the problem is.

I had to laugh as I looked at the list of questions and there are now three with red spot problems, one of which is my question regarding chicken pox. I know there's a chicken pox epidemic going round at the mo, my daughter has it. Have you already had chicken pox as a child or not? If not then there's a good chance that it's that, as you don't feel particularly ill with it. I'd go to the docs though just to be on the safe side as I know chicken pox in adults can be worse than it is in kids.

Is your mattress old or does your cat sleep with you?
It could be a case of bed bugs. It could still be fleas, if your cat has gaps in his treatment then it is still a possibility. Most treatments cannot kill adult fleas.
Actually reactions to bed bugs and other allergies are often hereditary. So if your husband is not having this issue that might be why.
Everyone is right you should go see your doctor. It could just be a new allergy or acne.

I do not want to frighten you but if you have been sexually active in the last 3 or 4 months you just might have syphilis. I was just reaching an another answer and saw how syphilis produces raised red spots over the persons body.
I would go and get checked out.

It is flea bites, i have a poodle even though he gets washed every week, and i wash his bedding you can still get them
your cat wont like it but try giving him a malawash bath, or use eucalyptis wool wash a lady put me on to that and it works
and when you rinse him put a drop of eucalyptis in the rinse water , but not too much and keep it away from his eyes. change and wash his bedding at the same time i use a pillow with a towel over for my dog he gets a clean towel each week
even though you have fleaded him he goes out and scratches in the sand to go to the loo so is picking them up again
especially if weather is hot harder to get rid of

Without seeing a picture of the spots it's difficult to tell, but it could be Pityriasis Rosea. It is annoying but harmless. I've had it and it goes away on its own.
However, not being able to see your rash, I could be wrong, so best to get it checked out anyway.

Could possibly be ringworm. Google the ringworm image and see if that is what you may be experiencing. My daughter got it from a friend's kitten.
