I don't own either but owned jeeps before, I would pick the Honda, its better made, more efficient, refined, faster, better resale value. The patriot is basically Dodge Caliber with a less aerodynamic body.

Don't own one but it basically depends on how you want to use it. The Jeep Patriot is better off-road than the CRV. The CRV is more refined however, and Honda's reliability is legendary. I think the Patriot might be cheaper, esp if you get a good deal (Honda dealerships are notorious for not negotiating... Guess they figure they don't need to).

My advice to you is to skip the Honda, skip the Patriot and get a real Jeep.
