When people call people of the far east Asian, I wonder, Well... what about the rest....those people from South Asia, South East Asia, Cental Asia. Asia is such a vast continent of mixed races. And I personally think it unfair to categorise just one race under this term.I think people should start calleing the folks from the far east as East Asian.

Initially I think of east Asian Americans, then I'll think of non-American Asians and complain about using the word Asian vs. Asian American

If someone says, "He's Asian" ... I'll picture a chinese person.

Probably because most Asians I know are Chinese.

I think of my friends, who are all types of Asian, They are Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotion, Philipino... I don't think of any particular type of Asian, just Asians in general.

Im African American I prefer to call my friends who are from Thailand, Cambodia, the Phillipines, and China, Asian! Its the correct term and they didnt have to tell me that!
