Whenever we put clothes on my puppy he becomes real quiet, and less hyper then he usually is. I was wondering why he does this? Our other three labs don't do this.

Probably because he doesn't like it. It may scare him. Why would he need clothes anyway????

He's probably feeling confined by the clothing. It's the same as if you wrapped a puppy in a towel and held it to calm it. Some dogs just don't like clothing. If you're really set on dressing him though, perhaps something that's a little roomier would work better.

Maybe the puppy doesn't like being dressed up. I mean after all he's from the wolf family and I have never seen a wolf dressed in human clothes. ( And yes I know of Little Red Riding Hood.)

I have a chihuahua who would do the same thing when we put a collar on him. He didn't like wearing the collar, I'm not sure why they act that particular way, but it does mean they don't like it, and they are making sure you know. I think it more or less scares them. He did eventually get over that, and now wears a collar 100% of the time.

Maybe the poor puppy believes he's a dog and wants to be treated like one!
