What are you looking for, handling or looks the lower profile tyres handle better but you will have a lot more choices with the 17's.
Any car will look better if it has a bicycle rack on it. You would probably look better if you were on a bicycle regularly also.

i know what your talking about i think it all depends on your height
me personaly i would go with a twenty inch wheel for more stability.
