As a Christian, I am very troubled to say that I researched the statistics on this and it is true... Christians are generally less intelligent than everyone else. There are a disproportionate number of Christians in jail and unemployeed.. More college educated people tend to be not Christians! Most great artists, musicians, intellectuals, authors, PhD's, philanthropists and scientists tend to NOT be CHRISTIANS. My source is ADHERENTS.COM (note on some, like Philip Bailey=Christian - but is a practicing homosexual.
BUT WAIT! Before you go running over to "smartypants SATAN" I asked my pastor about this and he said that this is exactly why God did not want us to eat from the tree of knowledge.. That learning and reason were from the devil... Christians believe the Bible and God because faith is not supposed to make sense. IN a sense, the more stupid you are, the better Christian you will be! You have to deny the tree of knowledge so you can become dumb enough to have faith in God.

have you ever met someone who was book smart, and yet, they just didn't seem to have a lick of common sense?
LIke doctors... They seem to know a lot within their field of knowledge, but ... well... that's about it. It's no wonder people cling to the coat-tails of their parent's religion.

It is not being 'dumb' enough to believe in God. It is having the wisdom to discern that which would test our faith (even when it seems intelligent) from the truth.
We're smart enough to know the Jesus Christ is our Savior. I'd give up dean's list for that ANY day.

First off, there are also many Muslims in prisons.
Amazing, huh? How many religions are there in the world and people just spend all thier time bashing Christians only.
Also the reference you have - you really expect a homosexual to be non-hostile towards Christianity? Consider the source.
As far as you statistics go - many people become Christians AFTER they get put in prison.
The Bible says there is much evidence in the world around us for the existence of a God, and all people are given the knowledge of a God at birth and people are without excuse.

The main reason that I had a Bible Study and then joined a church is that everything that I had heard, I went to the Library, read different books and found out that it made sense. If I wasn't able to reason it out,I would still be an alcoholic. The more that I learn, the more it makes sense. It is called Logic, and God gave it to us for a purpose. I do not check my brains at the door whenever I attend church. And no one else should either!!

Faith doesn't make sense because it's a feeling you have inside of you, you don't know why it's there, but you know it's right.
Some things are just too great for us to understand, and it translates in non-sense.
Might I add that I am not of any religious influence - my faith is much deeper than that.

hahahaha wow i think your right! i am dumb enough to believe in GOD the Almighty! and thats why I am a Medical school student with a very low 3.8 GPA without a dollar to her name and will one day look back at being a christian and having faith no matter what as say
