First, they are not "insurgents". Stop listening to rhetoric and instead read your dictionary: an insurgent is "an opponent to a constitutional government". The US is NOT the constitutional government of Iraq; they are an occupying army, hence those fighting the US are a _resistance_.

Second, if you wonder why they are losing, read on:

1) The US military is poorly equipped for urban warfare (you can thank Chicken George and Dumb Donald Rumsfelch for that).

2) You can't win a fight on the other guy's territory, nobody ever has except by genocide (ie. the British in Tasmania)

3) The US desperately tries to avoid even a single death, meanwhile the opposition are _willing_ to die in a 20:1 ratio. Even with that numeric advantage, the US doesn't have the heart, spine or stomach to fight a war of attrition. The resistance does.

In any fight, winning requires being able or willing to do what the other guy won't. The US clearly doesn't have the balls to do what it needs to do to win. And anyone who whines about the resistance's tactics (as some "answerers" have) is an idiot. These whiners seem to expect the resistance to walk in a line like the British redcoats, walking along and making it easy to shoot them.

As Donald Rumsfelch said, "You go to war with the army you have, not the army you'd like to have". The resistance have AK-47s, IEDs, suicide bombs and Molotov cocktails; guerilla war is the only way the resistance can win, so someone has to be stupid and infantile not to expect it.

Let's not also forget: the tactics of guerilla warfare (hit and run, shrapnel bombs, dressing in civilian clothes) were tactics the _US_ used to fight the British. And now these crybabies soil their diapers when an resistance uses the same tactics against them? If they don't like it, shouldn't do it, or better yet, go home and stop whining about it.

Your main point is fallacious.

The terrorists became insurgents once Iraq voted for its own Constitution, elected its own President, and reconstituted its own military. We are there to help them, and boy does it seem they need help!!!

The idea that the insurgents are fighting the U.S. occupation begs the question, If the insurgents didn't fight, the U.S. could leave Iraq a lot quicker. Had it not been for insurgent fighting, we probably could have left shortly after they elected their President.

If a teacher tells the class they can go to recess after they learn how to spell a list of words, does it make any sense for the students who desperately want to go out and play to refuse to learn the day's lesson? No.

The insurgents are fighting the Constitutionally elected government of Iraq because they are Islama-fascists who do not want to share power with other groups. They want power only for themselves, just like Saddam's Sunni party.

The U.S. presence there is not the reason for their mayhem, it is a pretext. They need an excuse, so they prey on the gullibility of the stupid, the naive, and the desperate.

So, stop using the tired, old "occupational army" excuse. We have made it very clear that we want to leave as soon as possible. That date depends on the good behavior of the insurgents, who want to topple the Iraqi government.

How can you blame the Administration for not providing the troops with equipment that Congress would not fund? And isn't the U.S. upholding the Constitutional government of Iraq. No one in Bush's administration has claimed to rule over Iraq, only to help the Iraqi Administration achieve order. Your argument is full of holes and twisted to match your own warped political agenda. Go on the kids answer board.

Thanks to your definition "insurgents" is actually a true way of describing the US and Iraqi opponents in Iraq. Last I checked all though the US is in Iraq there is a democratically elected-sovereign Iraqi government which is being attacked. Technically then they are insurgents.

Because you feel inadequate of your military duties that you were not proud of,stop shoving your inadequacies down the throats of others.Try being a real man instead of some panty waisted sniveling wimp.

Our military not having suitable equipment was thanks to the deserter and treasonist Clinton who dodged the draft by going to England and then protesting America. This is your God,bow to the blue dress.
