Hi,
My office is over an hours drive away and my daughter's childcare closes at 6. Sometimes I get to the place 10 or fifteen minutes away and want to hire a private babysitter.
In this case what's the reliable way of finding a good babysitter.
The ideal thing would be to find a teacher from the school who can pick up my daughter from school and babysit until I can pick her up.
Is it rude to ask the school if they know of any teacher who might be looking for babysitting work?

It's not rude, but probably not possible since most teachers are still under contract for about an hour after school lets out. So it would be unethical for him/her to have another job at the same time.

I went to three day cares and that i went about the top of the day even as father and mom were choosing their babies up and that i talked to them asking in the journey that they beloved them...that type of issue. i understand it may look strange yet because my daughter became 6 months she has been with 3 babysitters and all 3 were truly undesirable, from man or woman who enable a touch boy chew my daughter (drew blood) and stated my daughter became the project, to putting my daughter in a field, sure a field to play in so she did no longer could watch her, to letting her chew on dogs raw hide because " it truly is reliable for her even as she teething". i became ill of each and each of the crap so i took some day holiday to very hit upon a reliable day care. i could verify into if there are any courses that help with daycare funds. i wish that permits, and reliable luck with it.

Umm, I think teachers are a little too old. Try asking around your neighborhood to see if other parents know someone that would be able to do it. (i.e. one of their babysitters, like a teenager or something) Or ask one of your daughter's friend's parents

Contact the local Women's Club. Ours offered a babysitting safety course and could give you a list of nearby people who could sit for you.
