Well it comes from the "just having faith" concept of believing the Bible is God's word and totally God's word, without error. This, to me, promotes ignorance. I know many Christians who are afraid of learning about science or other faiths, because something might contradict the Bible. It is taboo to look for wisdom outside of the Christianity and the Christian teachings, because to do so may lead to "corruption" of their purity and faith in Jesus. I have seen this in everything from other religions to even music -- which some Christians frown upon other Christians listening to secular music, because it is "worldly" and will tempt them into doing wrong. But, we do not live in a glass globe protected from the world around us, and there are a great many ideas, facts, and concepts which are not found in Christianity -- or in any other religion. To deny this is to deny a huge section of the world. As Bertrand Russell has said, "There is not, so far as I can remember, a single word in the Gospel in praise of intelligence."

1. Because Creationists have no concept of the fundamental difference between a conjecture (wild guess based on no evidence) and an actual theory (hypothesis based on evidence that can be obtained through controlled circumstances, measured, reproduced by other scientists, and compared objectively).

2. Because Creationists confuse Interpersonal Faith (trust formed between real people based on real experiences) versus Religious Faith (schizophrenia formed between a person and a supenatural boogeyman based on fairy tales they would like to think happened).

3. Because Creationists actually think that if they can poke enough holes in Evolution that their double conjecture that "God did it, hyuk" somehow becomes the valid default.

4. Communion wafers contain vaccines against rational thought.

5. Creationists believe they have the automatic right to same level of intellectual respect for their beliefs that real scientists have for their real theories, merely because the Creationists have their beliefs.

Evolution is the easiest of the sciences to attack because people don't like to think they evolved from more ape like ancestors.

The bible has much to say about the age of the universe and the Earth which contradicts cosmology and geology. It has much to say about the nature of the Earth and the stars which contradicts astronomy and satellite technology. It has much to say about history which contradicts archeology. But rather than say that we live on a 6000 year old flat, round Earth which is surrounded by a firmament with lights embedded in it which we see as the sun, moon, planets, and stars and which was completely flooded about 4000 years ago resulting in the death of all animals except for those who could fit into a boat that was built by a 600 year old man, they concentrate on attacking evolution.

Because if the SATANIC theory of evolution is ever proven to be true, it will ruin Christianity!
We BIBLE BELIEVERS know that the Bible is inerrant and if it says that God created the Earth in six days then God DID IT!

My pastor says that dinosaur bones and fossils are creations of SATAN and SATAN FOLLOWERS. That, OF COURSE, there will be PLENTY of EVIDENCE that "disproves" Christianity, but to give it the GOD TEST! That's when you 1st: Bring the question to the pastor for inspection 2nd: Check and see what the BIBLE says about it.
If it's not in the Bible, then it is a SATANIC DECEPTION!
So, when a SATANIC person who does not believe the Bible starts to ask circular questions and starts to use SATANIC methods like, "logic" and "reason" - and you're alone and the pastor is not nearby, just close your ears and say, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!" Over and over and SATAN will have to flee.
This really works! People who are possessed by the demon of logic and reason have to flee at the name of Jesus.

Creationists believe that accepting evolution at all is admitting that their God isn't the supreme creator of the universe. They're too certain that they are right to actually look at evidence. The Vatican has actually given in to reality and endorses evolution as the tool God used.

They labor under the delusion that every word in the Bible is true and relevant to modern society, and that they can interpret the Bible literally. Modern literary theory indicates that there is no such thing as a "literal reading" since readers integrate different worldly experiences into their readings of the text.

The people that accept scientific theories as absolute truths are usually the ones that have little to do with the subject. Or just "scientists" trying to make themselves a name, sell some books. You know, the usual.

Not all have. if you are willing to consider the possibility that evolution within each species is the way in which God created everything, its not a problem.
