No price is fair for a teacup Chihuahua because they are poorly bred, unhealthy and generally not up to breed standard...also there is no such thing as a teacup dog of any breed. it is a fancy name pet shops, puppy mills and backyard breeders made up for their undersized, poorly bred dogs so that they could cash in on the current trend and sell them at exorbant prices.

A good breeder is probably going to be very expensive, but in all likelyhood, they will be cheaper then a pet store dog and you will have life long support and health guarentees. In general, all responsible breeders charge close to the same price. I would suggest looking of some breed clubs and contacting a few breeders to get a more accurate idea of what the going rate is.

I don't think you will find a quality, registered purebred for less then $250, but don't despair. Because of the current trend for little dogs, there are literally dozens of abandoned Chihuahuas available for adoption. Check in with your local shelter frequently. Look for a breed rescue and contact them. it might take a little longer to find a dog, but this way you can get your purebred Chihuahua for an affordable price and be giving a deserving dog a home. Check out www.chihuahuaclubofamerica.com. They have tons of information on the breed as well as information on breed rescues. Also, you might try giving

NO SUCH BREED as a TEACUP chihuahua.... that is a term for an undersized, most likely unhealthy chichuahua that was produced by improper breeding practices by irresponsible breeders,,, this dog has not conformed to the chihuahua breed standard.. stay clear

"Teacups" are dogs that they sell aka runts or unhealthy dogs,
DO NOT BUY THEM
